If you have been keeping up with me, you probably remember the brief mention of my new beau.
I am flying out tomorrow for our first weekend together. Totally stoked! He is the first guy that I have not questioned and/or second guessed his every action in a very long time. I don’t have a clue how this weekend will go. I don’t know if we will hit it off (although I am not sure how that could go wrong…we are practically soul mates), I do not know if this will simply fizzle, and I do not know if his penis will be small…but that is just the chance I am going to have to take!
To top things off I have never visited the Windy City so yah… I am so excited that I have packed a day in advance. Trust when I say…THAT SHIT NEVER HAPPENS!
In other news…my confidence has grown a shit ton in the business world. A close mouth won’t get fed and my business surely won’t grow if I don’t share it! Because of this reality, I have been practicing being BOLD until I AM BOLD. Now do not get me wrong I am not the least bit shy…but there is something to be said about the direct sales woman who can blindside any stranger while running errands about booking a trunk show!! I personally prefer to thank the people with a goody bag of sorts….and even then that is strictly to people that I choose to speak with about my business naturally.
That brings me to my next victory. I had a meetup planned for the Magic Mike XXL showing and the two ladies who RSVP’d never showed. Cool…no worries…I thought to myself, “with this new found business lady BOLDNESS I will mingle with the other thousand ladies to see the show! This was perfect to talk about my parties…I mean its a movie about a stripper…the obviously weren’t prudes!”
Thats where I met Debbie! She was amazing. She joined my meetup and my mailing list PLUS agreed to come to the upcoming “Sunday Funday Boss Babes and Bombshells Brunch” in one conversation…SCORE!! We decided to hang out again next week and try and see the movie since we missed the good seats waiting for the flakes who RSVP’d and didn’t have the decency to show.
Overall I grew my mailing list by six and have at least three potential parties on the horizon. I’d say that is a win!!
The point I am getting at is this….the successful never play it safe. They take chances, risk looking stupid, and do NOT QUIT. They don’t just give up. No one ever won by quitting in business, love, or otherwise! Stop hiding your badassery and live a little would ya!
